Blone Blue Eyes

I’m sure some of you may be reading this because it says “Blonde Blue Eyes”. There are a number of people who asks me why I have blondeblueeyes as my username in some accounts. I didn’t think it was simple to explain before, and up to now, I still do not know! So I’ll try to say anything about my “blondeblueeyes”

It started when I was very young like in the old house young. I wasn’t the one who would be known as true Filipina. I dream of being Blonde with Blue Eyes (and a British accent) . I really didn’t know why. I was young, naive, out of place (I guess) . It was just that way. I grew up expecting gifts, friends and other things from foreigners (even my best friend wasn’t a real Filipina) I started wondering why their hair was brighter than mine, my hair was black that would turn dark brown when it hit the ray of the sun. Why the other people’s eyes weren’t dark brown or black, they were blue! Then they had different accents that sometimes I didn’t understand (but I wanted the accent, and I may have picked up a little from it) I started telling myself that I want to be a Blonde girl with blue eyes and a foreign accent (I didn’t know it was called British before, but I’m sure that it’s the accent I was talking about)

I started to go to a school where everyone was just like me, a Filipina. I was still holding to the 3Bs dream (Blonde, Blue, British) . I started to learn about how I should be proud of being a Filipina. But then, there were a lot who colonized the Philippines and somehow, that doesn’t show the real Philippines. There are still things to be proud of when in the Philippines that wasn’t controlled by the colonizers (I’ll leave those to you). I stopped the dream because first of all, that will never happen unless I want to get hurt (except the 3rd B! Well, in a way) second, I had to embrace my own country and the race it holds.

Right now, Blonde and Blue eyes is nothing but a childhood memory that is something being laughed at right now. I’m sure that we had said something that made our parents laugh when we were younger.

But I don’t think that I will laugh at it totally, I mean, I did pick up a little from the accent.

Anyway, now that I have explained the Blonde Blue Eyes and more, there’s the time now. Enjoy your summer everyone! Good luck to the next grade/year you’ll be in. In my case, I will be in 3rd year.
